Join us for the first annual Varsity Relays — an overnight movie marathon!

Friday, April 26 at 10pm – Saturday, April 27 at 10am

Have fun spending the night at The Varsity and watching movies — plus help us raise money for the nonprofit work of Des Moines Film.

Here’s how it works:

1) SIGN UP to take part in the fundraiser by creating your own fundraising page. Then, donate or raise money to participate.

2) There are three fundraising levels to aim for:

– 5K: $75 (minimum to attend the movie marathon on April 26)
– Half Marathon: $250
– Marathon: $500

3) Raise funds up until the main event, then get ready for a jam-packed night of movies, games, prizes, snacks & more at the 2024 Varsity Relays!

Here’s just some of the prizes you can win by participating…

– Top Fundraiser – Free private rental in the main theater.
– Most Liked Social Media Post – See your name on the marquee!
– Most Individual Donors – Free loft rental.

Dreams and Nightmares will be the theme of the films played through the evening. Participants are invited to submit a list of movies they believe will be shown. The person that has the most correct guesses will win a prize!

Must be 18 or older to participate.
