Title of the Presentation: What must humans be, to beat the machines?
THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES is a kid-friendly, LGBTQ-representing satire, in which one family must save the world from a machine apocalypse. The film plays hilariously with many tropes from AI in Fiction, including the tropes about what it would take to win. This short pre-screening presentation will give the audience a short list of things to look for — in the film and beyond! — showing how (in stories at least!) humans can preserve humanity in the face of the machines.
